Job Summary

The Social Media Manager III will lead the global strategy and implement MoneyGram’s social media program, driving customer engagement and acquisition through social channels. The Social Media Manager III is responsible for customer engagement and paid advertising across social media channels (primary focus on Facebook & Twitter, but also LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram). The incumbent is also responsible for the day-to-day execution, content development, reporting and stakeholder alignment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Builds and implements company's overall social media strategy, including driving overall objectives, strategies, reporting and measurement to meet business and marketing objectives.
  • Develops benchmark KPIs and best practices for social campaigns.
  • Continuously improve campaigns based on data/metrics.
  • Develops, implements and manages social media campaigns including brand awareness, engagement tactics and promotion for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn including remarketing campaign targeting using Audience Stream.
  • Works in tandem and regularly feedback insights gained from social media and online monitoring to key relevant stakeholders.
  • Takes the lead and works with regional interactive marketing leads, regional marketers, corporate communication and foundation to support business needs and strategically use social media.
  • Monitors and reports on campaign using performance metrics and analytics to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of social media strategies and organic and paid campaign and share campaign results with global marketing organization.
  • Monitors and evaluates social and digital media trends, content strategy and to identify new directions and methods to engage key audiences, staying current on all digital media technologies, trends and best practices.
  • Employs innovative tactics to grow the audiences of each of MoneyGram’s social media accounts. Develops digital content for defined campaigns including copy, images and video working in tandem with MoneyGram’s in-house creative services team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree, BS/BA Marketing/Business.


  • 5+ years of marketing background, with 3 years of social media experience.
  • Experience in targeting multicultural audience preferred.
  • Understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Experience launching targeted campaigns using Facebook Business Manager and Power Editor, or similar tools.
  • Experience with web analytics platforms and using data to drive decision making. Knowledge of Tealium Audience Stream a plus.

Essential Skills

  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-player - willing to flex and compromise in order to create the best solution to meet the team’s and business's needs.
  • Demonstrated track record of creative and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. This role does a lot of presentations and cascading of social media initiatives to a wide range of audience.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design best practices and principles, and experience working with web/graphic designers and other creative professional.
  • Bilingual/fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) preferred.
