Description

MoneyGram International now has an urgent requirement for a Retail Area Supervisor_Manager to join us in Paris on a fixed term contract basis for around ten months. Based from home with frequent travel across your assigned region, the Retail Area Supervisor_Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the proper operation of the MoneyGram stores and monitoring general performance in order to meet sales and productivity goals. The Retail Area Supervisor_Manager will lead and coach direct reports and sales teams and ensure that personnel follow Anti Money Laundering rules and policies accordingly with MoneyGram's general compliance requirements. You will be expected to seek for alternative business expansion and monitor competitors on a permanent basis. In addition, you will take responsibility for the safety and security aspects of the stores, and ensure that a first class customer service is provided.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Builds, implements, and develops a comprehensive strategic business plan to meet growth, revenue and expense targets for MoneyGram Corporate Stores.
  • Oversees performance of MoneyGram products.
  • Leads and supervises employees within the business unit.
  • Manages work schedules for Sales Associates.
  • Responsible for warnings and corrective action plans as well as rewards and bonuses.
  • Executes Sales Associates training: compliance, new products, customer service, etc.
  • Coach staff to ensure the correct completion of Anti-money laundering measures and procedures.
  • Trains and coach employees on Anti-money laundering precautionary measures.
  • Conducts research, assembles and analyzes data to prepare reports and documents on competitors, Sales and Business opportunities (design and maintain databases).
  • Performs periodical cash audits per store.
  • Creates a base of vendors and contractors to support branches needs and requirements.
  • Reports and tracks technical issues and repairs as needed.
  • Supervises and maintains each store with adequate signage, neatness and order.
  • Maintains relationships with landlords, vendors and local authorities.
  • Locates and suggests new premises to relocate or install new Corp Stores within the business unit area.
  • Leads sales' forecasting activities and sets performance goals for stores according to corporate targets and budgets.
  • Creates specific strategies aimed to increase sales volume and retention of customers.
  • Analyzes and determines expansion of new markets.
  • Collaborates with Manager Owned Stores to determine goals per store.
  • Identifies new local market opportunities.
  • Reports branch performance and related issues to Manager Owned Stores on a weekly basis.
  • Attends meetings to review and analyze branch performance.
  • Contributes new ideas and proposals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Creates executive presentations
  • Receive calls and reports regarding security issues and events occurred at owned stores.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in similar role, along with relevant qualification or equivalent ideally from the Remittances/Payments industry.
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Experience managing and supervising a large group of employees.
  • Capacity to oversee Point of Sales remotely.
  • Strong and professional customer focus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with and be sensitive to a broad range of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Must understand supervisory approaches for work direction, coaching, people oriented motivation, leadership and disciplinary action.
  • Computer literate
