Information Security DLP Analyst

The Information Security DLP Analyst I will hunt, identify, analyze, and develop containment and remediation plans for security incidents impacting MoneyGram through the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tool. The incumbent will assist in conducting scans throughout the MoneyGram environment, utilizing the output of those scans to identify improperly stored or transferred data that is in violation of the organizations DLP policy. Once the violations are located, the incumbent will be responsible for driving remediation efforts with the data owner. If the incumbent believes the violation is part of a bad business practice, then they will be responsible for working with the business and its stakeholders to drive change which will better align with MoneyGram’s DLP policy. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for providing metrics to senior management as to the progress of the remediation efforts, types of alerts, SLA violations, and other metrics that prove valuable to the organization. Additionally, the incumbent should have a basic understanding of the E-Discovery platform and assist forensic experts with the administrative tasks associated with running their collections.

Primary responsibilities:

· Lead and/or assist in the Data Loss Prevention objectives

· Develop and enhance DLP policies to identify and appropriately protect content while in use, in motion, and at rest

· Ensure there is continuous tuning of DLP policies and ensure tools/capabilities are functioning in an acceptable

· Troubleshoot issues that arise with alert generation and coordinated resolution in a timely manner

· Analyze, identify, and document data gathered from the output of the DLP tool

· Effectively communicate with end users of various levels, from business teams across the organization, to resolve and remediate DLP violations

· Must have the ability to identify gaps in procedures, and willingness to communicate them to the team, as well as the business, and suggest improvements

· Develop dashboards and periodic status reports that communicate the health of, and risk to the DLP and business, as well as reporting on key metrics being provided by the tool

· Familiarity with the E-Discovery platform and the ability to perform the administrative tasks associated with E-Discovery collections.

· Ensure processes are documented and maintained

· Work with project managers on required project related tasks

· Perform other security related duties as required


· Minimum 1 year experience in IT, IT Security, or Compliance is preferred

· Experience with DLP technology

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to various audiences including senior leadership

· Fast learner; extremely motivated to learn, develop, and execute on all facets of the position, including administrative, technical, and process improvement functions

· Self-directed, work with minimal guidance, and recognizes when guidance or escalation is needed

· Basic understanding of the E-Discovery platform and its function

· Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
